Day CampsDay Camps
This summer, the BC Camp Association is launching a best practices pilot project for day camps. The BCCA is seeking ten summer day camps to participate in its Day Camp Best Practices pilot project this summer. Your participation and input will help the BCCA to refine its Day Camp Best Practices document while it gains a better understanding of the concerns and needs of day camps in British Columbia. Participating day camps will be listed on the BCCA website and will be able to advertise their programs to the BCCA community.
As a pilot Day Camp you will have the opportunity to review the Day Camp standards, and provide feedback, helping us to refine the Best Practices for our launch next year. The intent of the Day Camp Best Practices is to provide BCCA Day Camps with materials to aid in developing and improving Day Camp services in British Columbia, for British Columbians. Best Practices are a means for Camp Personnel to evaluate their operations, and to request support via the BCCA. The Best Practices ensure safe camping programs for families across BC.
Please send me an reply email if you are interested in finding out more about the pilot project or to express interest in participating. I will be available throughout the summer for ongoing support and feedback as needed. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
